28365365体育在线Classics is the integrated study of the language, literature, art, society, history, and thought of the ancient Greeks and Romans. In Classics, we draw on a variety of approaches in order to develop a multi-faceted view of Greek and Roman culture--for that reason, Classics is an multi-disciplinary discipline, combining the methods and insights of philology, literary analysis, archaeology, religion, anthropology, history, and philosophy. The overarching goal of the Classics program is two-fold: to introduce students to the languages, literature, and cultures of Greek and Roman antiquity, and to help students develop the skills necessary to interpret, synthesize, and engage ancient material.

There is both a major and minor in Classics at Hendrix, and both programs draw on courses in the language and culture of Greek and Roman antiquity. If you are interested in learning more about how Classics might fit into and enrich your time at Hendrix, please feel welcome to contact Professor Rebecca Resinski (email@example.com; office Fausett 24C) or Professor Stanly Rauh (firstname.lastname@example.org; office Fausett 3).
